Sick of that three-step Pokémon Go radar glitch? Well there’s a solution for Android users. PokéNotify alerts players to nearby Pokémon, but unlike many other Pokémon tracking apps it taps directly into Pokémon Go and doesn’t rely on crowdsourced data.
Notifications can also be viewed on Android smartwatches and the app doesn’t require you to login using your Google or Pokémon Trainer Club account, so it won’t land you in trouble with Niantic. Apptastic have said on their FAQ page that PokéNotify is coming to iOS but haven’t said exactly when.
In other news iOS news, Pokémon Go is now number 2 on the Apple App Store in the US. It was overtaken by the Bitmoji Keyboard app. Apparently kids love terrible looking GIF files that don’t work properly in WhatsApp and clog up iMessage feeds.
