An inevitable but still infuriating side-effect of Pokémon Go’s incredible success has been the constant server crashes. After all it, it did become bigger than Facebook and Twitter pretty much overnight. Thankfully a tech start-up in New York called Datadog has come up with a solution – IsPokemonGoDownOrNot.com.
The data is based on a number an automated process that measures how long it takes for Pokémon Trainer Club logins to work. The site also tracks also tells you if it’s safe to place a Lure on a PokéStop which have been known to not function correctly when the servers are under stress. An API for the login tracker can be found here.
