Japan getting Pokémon Go when the servers can take it: Niantic

Japan, the home of Nintendo and Pokémon, has been waiting on the bench for their turn to be called up and join the rest of the world in Pokémon Go. But with good reason.

John Hanke, CEO of Pokémon GO developer Niantic, told Forbes “the server capacity in Japan is not powerful enough” and that his team are “working hard with our partners in Japan to enable the servers to keep up with demand once the game goes online there”.

Kudos to them for looking out for Japan, but seriously if my Pokéball stops dead on the ground when I’m trying to catch another Pokémon I’m going to… restart the game and try again.
