Pokémon Go Plus delayed until September

Nintendo of America have announced via Twitter the release of the Pokémon Go Plus accessory has been pushed from the end of July to the end of September this year. Nintendo Life shared an email sent to customers apologizing for the delay and allowing those that want to cancel their pre-orders to do so.

Retailing for US$34.95 the Pokémon Go Plus is a small Bluetooth device that connects with your smartphone and alerts you to in-game events, such as when a Pokémon or PokéStop is nearby, through a LED light and vibration.

One of the more interesting features about the Pokémon Go Plus is the ability to automatically throw Poké Balls at wild Pokémon by pressing the LED light button, but only if you’ve caught them before.

If a new round of pre-orders does open up be sure to put your name down for one quickly. Pokémon Go Plus accessories are selling for what financial experts call “stupid money” on eBay and will probably continue to do so for a while.
