CEO of Niantic, John Hanke, took to the stage at San Diego Comic Con on Sunday alongside panel host Chris Hadwick of Nerdist to talk about the future of Pokémon Go.
Revealing the leaders of Team Valor, Mystic and Instinct, Hanke confirmed the legendary birds Moltres, Articuno and Zapdos are “kinda aligned with the teams”, and that there will be an announcement about what that means soon.

Hanke also hinted at the possibility of PokéStops becoming Pokémon Centers and acting as healing stations, much like in the core Pokémon games. It was also revealed that players haven’t found all of the ‘easter eggs’ hidden in the game just yet, but clearly Hanke wasn’t ready to elaborate any further.
Trading was confirmed once again coming to a future update later while apologizes were made for the less than stellar launch of Pokémon Go. Hanke also acknowledged that the ‘three-step bug’ plaguing the Pokémon radar will be fixed soon.
The future of Pokémon Go is looking pretty bright right now, with the only downside being I’m on Team Valor, and I really want an Articuno.
